Oh thought it was some kind of gardening term lol!

No packet dirt here! This is authentic soil from the outback paradise that is Bungendore, churned up by some monster 215-section worn-out dunlops ;)

I know this will sound like a dampner, but state forests - Large trees 6ft off the road. Kangaroos/koalas/wombats. Dont be a complete dickhead, start slow until you get the gist of how your car performs on ball-bearing roads. I have seen what happens when this goes wrong. Not pretty.
Remember ABS is great, but on these roads, your braking distance doubles. Dont come up to a 90 deg bend at 80 and expect to have the same turn in and corner speed. You will just end up sideways, playing meet and greet with a tree on the other side.

However, it is a hell of a lot of fun, and if you can accept the animal risks, night runs are awesome. Having the extra knowledge that nothing is coming the other way makes for some great use of the whole road. My other bit of advice is dont cut corners you havent looked at. Forestry roads usually have washed out edges, and will swallow tyres.

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. To be stripped and scrapped in time.

Had a short squirt on the gravel roads towards Point Perpendicular today. Pretty tame, although there were a few bends where the tail got happy. Very good fun though, anyone know of anywhere else to go down the south coast around Jervis Bay?
