For some reason after watching a disturbing amount of WRC races on Youtube, i thought i would give it a go to see how a Subaru would handle. So just wondering if anyone knows any streets/roads/sections of roads that are dirt/gravel etc, around the Sydney region?
Also would anyone recommend what i should do to protect the paint if i do go?
Cheers!

The surprising thing I learnt was that when you start to lose control after pulling hard into a corner and the back end starts coming around, you don't overcorrect like in a RWD car. The AWD will go wherever you point it, just straighten out the wheel with minor adjustments, more right boot and let the car do the work.
Pic related.

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts, right off.

Fairly sure you just go for it and its all based off times.so your not exactly racing other people.

Not many unfortunately. So just wondering if anyone knows any streets/roads/sections of roads that are dirt/gravel etc, around the Sydney region?
There are some in the suburb of Londonderry south of Richmond. But not much.
If ever you do get an opportunity, drive through a State Forest. Unlimited number of smooth, loose gravel roads to have a bit of fun on. I recommend Hampton State Forest in the Central Tablelands west of the Blue Mountains. Its also used for rally events so there are some cracking roads to chuck your Suby onto!

hahaha gold.
I'm lucky that I have dirt roads everywhere near where I live so if I feel the need I can.
Best advice for you is take it easy. Just don't assume your Ken Block when your on the dirt
