Nik you've done brisket before? I'm super keen to try a piece in the bbq once i get a smoker system going.

Yeah mate, very rewarding meat to cook. My next bash will be a 12 hour slow roast. I have a blade side in right now that's on it's second cook, should be about 8 hours all up. I really should go and check on it cut a slice off and put it in my belly.

Not much more than 1.2kg.

Problem was too much fat was trimmed, so not sure how she'll turn out.

Even if it's destroyed, the red wine stock it's been cooking in for two days will make the most awesome reduction jus for future meals.

Can't believe you got a pallet in the back? I'd have no chance.

I got one of those tins when I saw Skyfall, but the bitch behind the counter gave me a bent one with a cracked lip. Almost asked her to get me another one, but she was hot... so I just took it and threw it in the bin when done.

It would be cool if Import Monster auto translated keywords to japanese when you ran searches to make the results more accurate (or offered the option anyway). Will try it out someday when the opportunity presents itself :P

It is likely that I am going to Japan next year with my sister and her partner (holiday though, so touristy stuff) would be keen to stop into a Super Autobacs or UpGarage if I spot one or get the opportunity.

A crowbar helped flat pack them :) not typical pallets either!

Should see the one I scored to take home starting Thursday.

A whole truck body and crane came on it. And it's pretty much a solid platform of 100x25 planks of smooth dressed pine!

@tsg, they have a list of common car words on their site in japanese you can just copy into the searchbox. I'm heading to japan at the end of the year, trying to figure out what sort of car parts will fit in my suitcase :P

I've got a Skyfall cocktail shaker... guess I should list that for 2.5k :P

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

Yeah I use those. I found the part I was looking for but it would be ~$550 to get it here. Hoping to spot a second hand one someday. Also yeah, I would probably buy some shit regardless, or just a handful of JDM goodies haha.
