Ash, I knew that was the case, so those side by side things are obviously scams!

I wouldn't say scams, but it would come down to the equipment (type of player, content on disc, the cable to an extent, settings on the tv etc)

To give you an idea Adam, I have one of the "$200" cables and 4 cables that I got from Jaycar for $20, can't see a difference on my setup, maybe if I had a super dooper high end
system then there may be a slight difference.


The only difference depends on the cable. Cheap chinese cables are crap, but you can buy cables for under $10 that will do the job perfectly.

It depends what the cable is made of. Gold tip cables are the best, but there is no difference between the $10 and the $200 cables.

I've come across so many setups and it's not always the cabling. There's also difference in between the outputs the different companies put in their devices. Samsung with a cheap cable, is better than a Soniq with a $200 cable.

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

Come install mine for me.

Not hard at all.

I haven't installed mine yet as I have to buy the wall mounts, but I've prepared the area I will be doing the work in. Installed some shelving to take place of the table my TV is on at the moment. Gotta go to JB Hi-Fi to get the mount off a mate that works there (discounts FTW), then punch a hole in the brickwork, set up power cables, ethernet cables, etc, to run in the wall and set up my 5-port Desktop Switch.

So much to do but it'll look clean and sleek when it's all done.

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.
