Subaru has unveiled a stunning WRX concept car at the New York International Auto Show.

Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI), the maker of Subaru vehicles, says the lower, wider, WRX concept hints at the design language of the next generation WRX.

The front design emphasizes the aggressive stance of WRX, together with solidity and stability.

A prominent classic Subaru hexagonal grille has a three dimensional mesh pattern, in keeping with WRX’s sporty nature, together with the hawk-eye headlights.

The WRX concept sedan is low and sleek, with a more powerful design than previous production versions.

A large opening in the front bumper, plus a classic WRX bonnet scoop, wing ducts and flared wheel arches denote the powerful turbocharged engine performance and handling.

A sharp character line runs from the front guard through to the rear, intersected by powerful wheel arches, emphasizing WRX’s renowned All-Wheel Drive capability.

The rear design echoes the hexagonal design motif from the front grille and features a dramatically curved boot lid that also acts as a rear spoiler.

The wide rear bumper adds to the powerful street presence of the car and is offset by large quad exhausts, while the aggressive rear diffuser improves vehicle aerodynamics.

To further enhance handling dynamics, the concept features a carbon roof for a lower centre of gravity and lighter weight.

The concept colour is “WR Blue Pearl III” and modernizes the traditional WRX look.

Fluorescent Yellow is used as an accent on the WRX front grille badge, brake callipers and the exhaust finisher, adding character notes to the design.

The 245/40ZR20 Dunlop tyres have an exclusive design tread pattern. The wheels are BBS “RI-D” One Piece Forged Duralumin.

Body size (Overall Length x Width x Height): (4520 X 1890 X 1390 mm)

Wheelbase: (2760 mm)

FHI is yet to confirm timing for unveil and launch of next generation WRX.

The special site on the Subaru Global Site http://www.subaru-gl....com/ms2013/ny/ will be updated with information relating to the New York International Auto Show. This will include images of the WRX concept as well as a movie of Subaru’s press conference.

For some reason, i think it needs a wing on it, also I wish it was a 2 door

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?

Hi,

The more they talk about it, the less it sounds like it will look like that.

"hints at the design language"

Cheers,

Looks really nice. I really like the design actually. It's got a pretty mean looking stance on it.

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.

HA.

If Subaru can actually stick to the concept design cues, we might have a winner.

Remember how awesome the Gen5 Legacy Concept looked?

Remember how bland and diluted the actual production model looked?

Yeah....that's right. However Subaru have way too much riding on this to get it wrong, so i actually have some confidence here, as long as they don't try to "green" it up.

Imagine if it came out looking like the concept, but only had a CVT :sarcastic:
