Im getting a CV replaced on Monday. I have a split boot thanks to the fanging a few Sundays ago on the RSLC hoot in the hills. :D Boot only is split, but to access the boot, the whole shaft has to come out and be dissassembled. You can get reco'd complete shafts supplied and fitted for $220. The labour to replace the boot alone brings the cost nearly the same. So im getting a whole new shaft and i know that the CV will also last me 10 years. :D
