Took me 2 hours to get into work this morning... and I had to be in early, so I left home at like 5.30am and only got to work at 7.30am when I needed to be here before 7... if things worked like they should, I should have been at work by 6.45, but no... Cityrail had to do track repairs on a Monday morning... freaking idiots...

Nah dude... no notice for this... none that I know of, coz it wasn't track work, like weekend track work, this was track repair, which should have finished before trains started this morning, but "it was extended infrastructure work"... sucks bigtime... team lead wasn't happy... though he was in later than me... still...

ive owned the toshiba for 4 years and its been back a minimum of once per year for repairs. yet my parents have a toshiba and no issues whatsoever. battery life on it was pretty poor to say the least as well. wanted something with decent battery life, enough that i can take it to uni and not have to charge it. im keeping the toshiba though to run my media stuff and keep all my movies/tv shows etc on.
i will probably eventually bootcamp mine and load Windows 7 on it, that way ive got it on there for programs that need to run windows, few of our work programs only work on windows.
Mark - everyone ive spoken to who owns one has nothing but praise for them. must mean they are doing something right i think! battery life was the selling point for me
planning to take many pics from the land of the free!
i wanna go to malaysia at some point too.

I don't understand why big companies use them pretty much exclusively for their reps and what not.
Every time a sales person comes out they set up their Toshiba, and they always get a coffee while it's loading up. Haha.

ive barely used the macbook so far and already noticed it just seems to do things so much better than the toshiba, multitasking is done with ease, so easy to switch between apps, everything is set out well. no complaints so far.
even on mine that doesnt have the retina display, the screen is amazing!

Nothing but love for the macpad pro's! I like that everything just works the battery life is wicked too!
I will agree guys... the MacBook pro is quite a powerful machine... mine is 4 years old now and it is still pretty kickass... I do like the screen and keyboard and the swipe gestures are nice too... but I guess I use Windows so much at work and for so long, the OSX is just something different to me, but then again, I don't go home to code, I just use the internet for SC and thats it...my 4yo macbook shits all over my brand new toshiba/win7 laptop.
in. so. many. ways.
Got too many laptops at home...

I'm running Windows 8 with Classic Shell. It avoids all the stupid start menu stuff. Not a bad interface.I have had so many windows laptops... but I do like Win7... will never tough Win8... idiotic thing...
I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.
