Gen4 clutch kit & flywheel advice

I can feel that the clutch is starting to wear on the Gen4, so starting to get my ducks in a row for a new clutch kit. While I'm at it I thought I'd get rid of the DMF and replace with a single.
Can anyone advise of the specific clutch kit and single mass flywheel kit I need for a Gen4 (my08)?

More to the point, looking for advice on whether the gen2 ej22 solid flywheel and clutch kit can be used in gen4 smf conversion as it can be for gen3. If so, part numbers, if not alternatives...

I did investigate using a genuine ej22 flywheel but I was never able to confirm 100% what kit to fit to it. The last thing I wanted was the car on the hoist in bits with parts that didn't fit as the plan was a turnaround in under a day.
I ended up with a full DMF --> SMF convesion kit made by Excedy Australia. It was a bit pricey at $1K (more or less trade price) but the install was hassle free and no chasing bits to make up a kit that may not fit.
Kit contained the usual for a kit; clutch plate, pressure plate and thrust carrier/bearing plus the flywheel (with the pilot bearing already fitted). I didn't realise but also included were all the extra bits needed for the job and all new genuine Subaru parts such as flywheel bolts, clutch fork, fork retaining clip and thrust retaining clips
The pedal is far lighter now but I had to adjust the pedal height and free play (often there is no need) as the engagement point was still too close to the floor. This was probably due to slightly different lever points as every thing had been changed but so far it's all good.
My only gripe would be that the car is not quite a smooth to drive as the DMF is no longer there but it's not really an issue.
Here are some pics.
The old
The new
I can dig out the part number if you need it Chris, bit I suspect Gen IV may be different.
The 30RB got a new clutch earlier this year, a Excedy STi replacement. Nothing fancy, just a std kit and that was $900 (retail) so the conversion kit didn't seem too over the top by comparison.

I've found the part number, SAS1065. However, this seems to apply to per-facelift models so I'm now try to find out if Subaru converted back to a smf from 07 onwards.

When I was talking clutches with the bloke he said it may or may not have a flywheel that could accept the STi clutch (turns out it did).
If not, he said he could supply one no dramas which makes me think that 2.5's run the same flywheel.
If that's the case then I would be thinking yours is smf.

I'll do some digging and let you know what I find out. It'd be pretty handy if all I need it a new clutch kit.

Pressure plate was fjc517
And the friction plate was fd013u
$190 delivered from ebay us with the throw out bearing, spigot bearing and alignment tool.
$30 to get a spare flywheel inhad machined.
I also had to tweak the clutch pedal adjustment a little aswell.
Call up a clutch place and they should be able to see what flywheel your model come out with

Rang Subaru with my VIN, asking whether mine has a SMF or DMF.
My particular model could have either, with a visual inspection being the only way to find out. That'd be right.
So, I guess I'll just wait until the clutch is slipping badly before taking the plunge and if it's a DMF when it gets pulled out, I'll just go for the conversion kit.

He was in the vicinity of $400 for the whole DMF->SMF kit when i ordered mine which was a similar price to what i could just a clutch for locally.
Not really loosing if you just buy the whole kit from him straight up.

Surely they can identify what went into the car went it was built?
After all, a computer would have generated the build info.
I have the w/shop manual at home so I'll have a dig when I've got some spare time.

It will have a DMF if it's a 2.5L N/A.
The reason they said either is the shitty FAST2 software is Japanese and when it's converted/loaded for AUDM models - some parts either disappear off the catalogue, aren't applicable to that model or come up with multiple options.
Not sticking up for the dealer, especially if they have dead shits working there, it's just the way it is.

Ha. Crazy stuff!
2.5 na doesn't automatically mean it's got a dmf.
As far as i can figure out, all gen3's and early gen4's had the dmf, changing over to smf in 2007. Given mine's an my08 it's likely got a smf.
Having driven a dmf and smf, mine feels like smf, eg, not as forgiving as dmf.
In any case, it's looking like I'm going to have to suck it and see when the time comes, unless anyone can figure out some other way to determine what flywheel I'm running.

Good point, thanks. That is cheap.
