@Adam: Coalition wants to put a filter on mobile phone internet usage to somehow prove the user is over 18 before being able to access adult content. Heart in the right place, but the fuckin' nerds of this country (which good on 'em I guess?) called censorship and blah blah. It was a short sighted idea, but the only intention was to try and shield kids from filth.

The shit 13 year old girls have seen now compared to 15 years ago when I was even a bit overawed by some of their sexual prowess, is fuckin' disgusting.

Early voting center.

Rock up and vote. Beats standing in line for hours while being annoyed by every political muppet throwing flyers at you and trying to get you to vote for them.

Also, can I just say. The 'filter' word is a bit wrong, it's not a filter, the plan was to implement a software type situation on smart phones and fixed line modems for parents worried about what their children can access - it was never meant to be monitored, and could be simply turned off with a phone call of age verification.

Basically. I don't really see many parents having a problem with it! 'Sexting' is becoming a serious issue in schools, I know someone who's daughter was recently effected by it, she had to go round the boys house and talk to the Dad, he grabbed his sons phone and chopped it up with an axe in front of them.

I know this measure would not have screened texts, but it's annoying that the power of the nerd army that are 'forever online' outweighs that of a slightly technogically out of touch parent, whom this idea was meant to benefit. Basically, the nerds are annoyed they'd have to actually make one single phone call, because they know whoever they speak to, knows they want to watch porn in their mother's basement.

I bet data usage is 70% porn in this country.

I think it is an Opt-In filter now anyways? Pretty sure Turnbull come out yesterday afternoon and said the original document was in error and that it was Opt-In.

Yeah, he only did that because of the massive backlash.

But yes, I still think the concept is good. People make Turnbull out to be some old fart that knows nothing about comms.

There was some CUBT on the radio saying that in Singapore the internet is this and that and blah blah blah.

MATE - How BIG is Singapore? This is a MASSIVE forking country. I don't understand all these stupid comparisons - yes, the internet is amazing through most of Asia (apparently?) - but the population density is also insane. If ANYONE should be complaining about internet speed/quality - It's me. Sitting here on a laptop because telstra AND iinet have forked up so hard that this is the only connection I have left!

10-4, Nik. Good idea. It's available on the computer, but I guess no way to make it available on mobiles as of yet.

Zero fucks given on this one!

Nik, unfortunately there are a lot of incredibly stupid people out there who have no idea that Singapore is smaller than Australia in area.... LOL.

Yeah I give no farks about the filter, even if it was mandatory I would just opt out!

Exactly

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?

Nik, is Abbott planning to scrap the Fair Work mumbo jumbo you mentioned a few pages back?
