If he calls us all 'you good folks out there' or says 'fair go' one more time, there might be an election execution.

An Elexecution?

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?

Precisely.

Try and see past the obvious bias, but this is actually true, I read the 2013 Labor solution (well, bits of it)

More Labor changes are coming

Not content with breaking their 2007 promise, Labor now wants to go even further. The recently introduced Fair Work Amendment Bill 2013 contains more changes to give unions greater power when exercising right of entry laws.

These changes will require employers to facilitate union transport and accommodation in so-called remote areas while at the same time limiting employers’ ability to recoup the full costs of such exercises. The changes also make lunch rooms and crib rooms the default locations for unions to meet with potential members for discussion purposes or to conduct interviews in situations where the parties cannot agree on alternative locations and whether workers want this or not.

To give you an idea of just how difficult Julia made Fair Work for small businesses, we had to let someone go yesterday, she was fantastic - did a great job, was always very nice, but her inability to work weekends as discussed meant it was not sustainable to carry someone during the week, there was also parts of the job that even though she tried extremely hard, was unfortunately not suited to fulfilling the role.

Could we tell her this? NO.

Under FairWork, do you know what we had to say to the crying mess (she was a LOVELY PERSON) - "Any questions or queries you will have to direct to your solicitor, we cannot engage in conversation about this"

I mean. Seriously. How is that making it Fairer for ANYONE? We feel like shit, she feels probably worse. Our industry body said that if we say ANYTHING else outside of that, they will not support us or engage us if a legal claim were to be made (unfair dismissal etc).

You can't even say "it was great having you here"!

UGH.

BRING ON MONDAY.

I like to go to the booth so I can personally reject the pamphlets of others, and proudly stroll to the Liberal desk, cock in hand, smile on my face.

This made me laugh, big time. Ha ha. Gold.

Mainly because I do the same thing!

Nik, those people are at the door of the early voting places, I got approached by this older lady today to give me a pamphlet, she was liberal, I just told her that I already know who I am voting for.
I actually spent the time on the Senate ballot to number the candidates from 1 to 110 just so that I could have the satisfaction of putting all those shit parties that I hate so much like the socialist communist christian greens party of Australia, last :D

I've gotta say, I have close to zero interest in voting. But this thread has made me so much more informed.

Still not gonna chuck a vote either way, but yeah, made me realise its not as black and white as the media makes it out to be, and that there are much bigger things at play other than the "popular vote winning issues"

that website thats going round at the moment about dont be an idiot on saturday is the biggest most riddiculous piece of bias political garbage i have ever seen in my life. if people follow that as their voting guidelines, god help us.

in other news, car sales figures this morning have been released post the FBT axing:

http://www.news.com....z-1226710835418

some interesting facts in there. market was growing during the FBT, but since they axed it, $160mil wiped off in August alone, with more decline predicted. WHY DO THIS RUDD!?!

i dont see how axing the FBT is supporting local industry, when clearly its killed off car sales. yes alot of these are overseas cars, but when you look at it supporting local jobs in servicing, support, carsales, leasing companies etc, its killing off jobs and has led to a decline in car sales. big negative i think

Hi,

From that article;

"We were told there would be a reduction of 10 per cent … and some would use higher figures than that.

"What we see today is that there's been a reduction of .2 per cent and if we go through the details we see that the number of vehicles sold by Toyota has increased. Commodore is down slightly, Cruze is down slightly."

Mr Carr and Mr Rudd declared the election would be a referendum on the car industry.

"If Mr Abbott's elected what I fear is the industry will wither away because he believes it to be an industry of the past, not deserving of government support," Mr Rudd said.

What I dislike the most here, is that they treat Australians like idiots. It is a .2 percent decline, but based on the actual growth figures before the FBT changes - it is more like 6/7% swing. I also believe that there is quite a portion of Australia that agrees we can't keep paying for Mitsubishi and Holden to stay afloat.

Cheers,

Nik

IN A MONTH! If it doesn't change, next month will be down 7%, and who knows when it will bottom out? WA alone was down 8%!!!! I guess a lot of FBT would be mining driven over here?

nik - i dont particularly agree with keeping car companies afloat, and this just isnt my general hatred for Holden here. this is our tax money going in to prop up car giants, which im sure already have a long term plan to shut down manufacturing in australia and go to global models such as what ford are going to do.

the proof is now here to show axing the FBT is a bad decision. like you say its realisitically a 6-7% swing, rather than what they are saying. even though its the FBT thats been axed it affects so much more than just the car sales and axes so many more jobs.

mining in general is pretty big on the FBT nik from my understanding, alot of them offer the option to employees, and been such a good deal alot take it up

Hi,

It's basically an indirect way of saving money without people really seeing the government saving it - the $160MM is losses in the private sector, but the savings for the gov. with 4600 less FBT'd cars on the road must be hooooooje.

When you look at the local small businesses that are going under left right and centre not due to a bad product, just a bad market, if the government added all those up - I'd say the jobs figure would be similar to a collapse of Holden - though nobody wants to make thousands of stories about small businesses going under.

The retail sector is down just over 8% over here. Which is A LOT when you're a small business.

They can keep funding Holden, as long as they shoot me a few bucks.

At least Abbott realises this, and is lowering company tax by 1.5% - which will make a massive difference to us.

Cheers,

Nik
