Dylan, sc will never be anything like rslibertyclub.org

I don't really agree with that Alex, it's not currently anywhere near as big as RSLC, true...

...but they only had 180'ish members at one point.

It's not going to make anything worse, so I don't see a problem with implementing a bit of structure while we're still young.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

I think it'll only complicate things further. I mean, do you see much use out of the "restructured" sections? They had 180 members once, yeah, but people were much more dedicated then, and dedicated now. I don't see many people at this stage making it out for a national meet...? Morale is down, yes. I say focus on that for now. Not try to make something out of this site it isn't.

Thanks for feedback Alex, this is open for discussion so I do appreciate your honest input in to how SC can work better for you, and the same goes for anyone else wanting to provide feedback - it is always welcomed.

Why stand around having a **** over this shit? Its a car forum, use it to take the piss and entertain yourselves. Its not going to be a life changing expirience. If you start comparing one site to another, and having some kind of lame compition you're contracting the whole purpose of the site in the first place.

I don't understand the point you're trying to make through that poor spelling, Paul. We are not trying to compare, nor provide a 'life changing experience'. There are a few simple firm goals for SubyClub, one of which are that it must remain friendly and pleasant for all involved. Another is that we are not in this to make a profit and stuff the site full of advertising. We want this to be a useful hub of information for all Subaru owners - If you can't contribute sensibly and politely to this (or any topics for that matter) then please reconsider your role on this forum. My point is. Why take this so damned seriously? I'm not having a stab at you personally Dylan, heck if anything this is directed at Alex. Having said that. This forum functions as its needed fine at the moment. Why fix what aint broke?

True, mate. However there's no harm in trying to make it bigger and better in our opinions!

The most important thing is to get the word out about the site. I dunno how you could, short of listing Subyclub on google (I google subyclub and get nothing). All the fancy bells and whistles are pointless if there isn't anyone here. And quiet frankly, there isn't really. The Ozlib balls up should be a big hand up to you guys. But I really think you need to try and advitise as well.

Just keep it simple, stupid. Everything else will fall into place. If you try to force things out of a forum and it's members, you'll fall flat on your face. Guaranteed. Been there, done that. Three times. All I'm trying to say is keep it simple. No, you don't have 180 active members. You have about five. Maybe ten. To have interstate cruise co-ordinators.... Are you for real? Seriously?

Search Results

that's one of my only qualms with this site...

my dad came into my room while i had subyclub open and was like... what's subby club?? (if you can understand what i mean, pronounced sub-y instead of soob-y... so now whenever i see subyclub i think of subbyclub instead of soobyclub)

having said that though, there is already a subieclub.com... though it's american based...

i'm just sharing my thoughts... *prepares to be shot down*

Ahoy everyone. We are open to suggestions of 'user titles'. These are the titles that appear under users avatars (if they don't have a customised one), such as 'New User', 'Trusted user' and change with the level of posts. Anyone keen to have a stab at recommending a system? I.e. - Newbie - Getting there... - I crave the POST button - Holy crap did you see that post? - Forum poster extraordinaire - Post happy ******** For example. Something that could give SubyClub more of that lurrrrrving feeling. Dylan
