My god, suggesting a laptop because it has 'beats' is like suggesting some one bare back magic Johnson because he has aids. Having g said that, most laptops will have comparitively shit sound compared to real speakers.

Damn, I had written one  but it was on my phone, fark knows what happened.

But personally I would prefer something with some of the older more trusted sound brands like bang and olufsen or Altec Lansing (it will say in the specs/on the laptop itself).

With the upgraded RAM = $908

This one seems much better specced, and the 17" screen is desirable to me.

It's not a touch screen though, which would make windows8 a bit of a cubt.
