I prefer the name of City FC, heart sounded pretty lame. Now they at least sound like a legitimate team, not some Saturday little league club.

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?

Hi,

So true. Melbourne Heart sounds like a charity not a team.

Cheers,

Nik

Even though I don't like soccer, there's going to a couple of World Cup games at decent hours... so who knows! I may watch them.

Just my 1am input to this thread.

I'm now getting quite excited for the world cup.

I shall be trying to watch some games on SBS.

Ha ha, benefits of Foxtel. I'll be watching all the Portugal and Australia games, and other big games if I can cope.

Hi,

Company cohesion. The owners also own Manchester City FC, New York City FC, so Melbourne was always going to become a 'CITY' FC (The are called the 'City Football Group')

They are currently looking into ownership of an Asian FC.

Cheers,

Nik

Sounds legit then. Not my team so I don't really care, but it makes sense for them to change the name now. Does that mean that Melbourne City are now owned by the sheik or whatever he is?

Great. I expect to see a shit load of money thrown at the team now. We might have a new team expecting first place.

maybe, maybe not. as much as i hate the salary cap sometimes, this is one of the reasons why they have it in place.

I don't know shit about shit but are Australia going to lose in the first round or is there any chance that we can beat a few of those teams?

Hi,

No. We suck at it and should pretty much just accept it.

Give it ten years when every single person on the team has a four syllable last name and then we'll teach them a lesson.

Cheers,

Nik

We would probably need to beat two of the three in our group to advance to the next round. Given that two of the teams are last years finalists, the chance is very small, its known as the group of death.

Hahaha, remember the bloke that predicted every single winner in the 50 states of the USA last year?

Well, he has done a world cup analysis too.

Straya is going to get 100% pumped.

While we may put up a good fight, it's pretty much a lost cause.

I'm definitely hoping to be surprised though. Considering Australia's soccer following has jumped in leaps and bounds over the last 10 years, it would be great to see them qualify to the next round.
