Picked up this gem a few weeks ago, was driving a 4Cyl 96' Magna for the past 3 Years so the transition into this Subaru feels amazing. This thread is just to keep tabs on all my Mods and show you guys how I build this GX into a more reputable looking car. I'm on a tight budget so the build might take a while haha but nonetheless will be completed within 6 months!

- Muffler

Future Mods:

- Coilovers

- Front Lip

- UEL Headers

Any thoughts on other mods I should look into doing?

Cheers!

good base and good plan except for the cannon. you will get no love here with a cannon

Have you put any more thought into squeezing some more power out of the engine. Like strapping on one of those intake fans

Bahahah I figured as much, well the plan is an XFORCE Varex 3" Muffler so it has to be a cannon so I can adjust the sound :P

Doesnt have to be a cannon on a Varex. Personally i think cannons are acceptable on imprezas

Ah true! I forgot you can get the twin-tip Varex. IMO I'm just a Honda fan boy, love the cannon look on most cars :P guilty

Looking clean man.

I can agree with your cannon statement with them looking good, though that doesn't mean I'm going to put one of my GX.

I'm nice to my neighbors, they would hate me coming down the street at 11pm with my driving habits haha.

So these came today in the mail :D

So happy with the way it looks especially at night time.

Also, until I buy some new shoes I've gone and taken off my hub cabs and painted my stockies matte-black! Wasn't feeling the hub-caps even though I won't have these wheels on for very much longer.

Next on the list is some TEIN Springs lowering it by 1.5", chose springs over coilovers mainly because I know if I had coilovers I'd take lowering way to far and end up with yellow papers on my windscreen!

Pretty sure you won't have a rear swaybar on that one. My gx sedan didn't. Involves sourcing yourself a pair of lateral arms with appropriate mounting points, though.

So the SubyClub stickers are on, and also in other news getting my Exhaust done on Monday. 2.5" Stainless Steel Cat-back. Not sure what muffler I'll go with though, probably a twin-tip :) Will keep you up to date and post some videos and stuff on monday night when the sucker's been all welded up, also going to buy some uneven headers off ebay to give it a deeper note. Still on the market for some 17" STI Rims too.

20% Tint all done and looking mighty fine!

Will post pics tomorrow.

Didn't end up getting my Exhaust done the other week, decided to wait it out and save for a new set of wheels, the stockies have to go!

I'm not going to take it too far overboard with plastidipping ( although i say that now )

Here are some Pictures of 11% Tint at the fronts & 5% at rear. ( Yes very illegal haha )
