As some of you know, yesterday morning I sold my Gen3 Outback and purchased a Gen4 Outback in the arvo. Absolutely thrilled :D Here are some specs:

MY08 3.0R Premium. Diamond Grey metallic. 5-speed auto with paddle shifters and SI-Drive....pretty much the same as a Spec-B apart from all the Outback specific body panels and the suspension.

Overall impressions are very positive :)

- The whole engine/driveline is even smoother & more refined than the my already smooth Gen3 H6.

- Seats are way more supportive than that of my Gen3 & Gen2. Finally they used some decent leather as well!

- Corners flatter (much more Liberty-like) and rides the bumps much more smoothly.

- Rear air-con vents a welcome addition

- Reversible cargo floor and one-action folding rear seats have already come in handy after a trip to the garden nursery

- Nice sound system. Also nice to have steering wheel controls.

Negatives?

- Steering lacks feel. Not sure if its same steering as the Liberty?

- SI-Drive programming not to my satisfaction. No good middle ground.

- Build quality not as good as Gen3, but still very well put together

Hopefully get a good couple years out this one, and once I start kitting it out for off-road use, it'll take me places...

Got a Gen4? Tell me of your experiences please!

Nice one Shiv!

Get some big muddies on it and a 41" lift kit

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Needs more high!

Looks good Shiv, enjoy it.

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?

I'm going to enjoy it for what it is now and in good time I'll do similar mods to my previous Outback and make it a little more off-road capable :)

Now THAT is what I'm talkin' about! Awesome purchase Shiv, it looks amazing. The colour is perfect. My dream is to get a 2009 Liberty 3.0R SpecB/STi. I can't wait to see what you do to it. :D

In all honesty everything I have done with my Liberty has been perfect. I've got no problems with it whatsoever. You're definitely gonna love this car.

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.

Nice pick up mate.

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.
