Does it even matter if there are inquiries on there though? They are not like some form of black mark against your name or anything are they?
Yes, they are! That's actually exactly what they are!

Well, the fact that they are declined enquiries would mean they haven't taken anything out in your name; but Shaz will point you to the government body to contact.

That link you posted said that it doesn't even log if the inquiries are approved or declined and that is where most of the problem stemmed from.. How can we have such a shit system in place still!

Yeah man, you need to get onto Veda Advantage and get a copy of your credit report, and make sure that all the enquiries on there are genuine.
As I said yesterday, I can't see who they are from, just the amount and when.
The credit reporting system is forked. It doesnt say if they proceeded, declined, accepted, not accepted, etc etc. It just shows enquiries.
I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Jesus, they've definitely changed it.
You used to be able to get it for free, as long as you were prepared to wait for 2 weeks. Other wise it was $30.
Crazy.

So is the 3 enquiries in a year a NAB policy or is it a rule for every one.
Because I got my home loan, mobile, personal loan, credit card and internet service all in the same 12 months.
The loans and credit card are all with the same bank but they still did a check each time and same with the internet and mobile. Same company but sperate checks
I think its an industry thing. Some banks will accept a higher level of risk then others, but as a rule of thumb 3 in 12 months for "Credit Enquiries" (Excluding Mobile Phones, Electricity, Internet, etc) would be considered medium risk.
