Just installed a set of brembo pads for a wrx 4pot set up and was wondering do i still use the vented shim considering that these pads have already have some sorta backing plate on the pad?

am i to remove the vented shim or just install it all ?

The "vented shim" is the oem backing plate on Subaru pads. If your new pads come with backing plates, just use the oem half shim on them.

Some aftermarket pads dont come with backing plates so keep the vented oem ones handy for future use or for someone who needs them.

Yeh i left them out but the pads are rattling like hell over bumps. bent the pad spring to apply more force but they still rattle. was wondering if this was the reason
