The entire pricing structure is based around essentially the hypothetical of how much the fuel would cost if it were indeed imported here, rather than refined here. They call it 'parity pricing calculator' or some shit like that. They run a rolling average over a two week course that settles price volatility day to day.
When the price goes up, and the ground is full, that's where you can see a 4/5c margin, because you've bought the fuel already - yet the price can be put up running the parity calculator.
My information is out of date, but I cannot see it being any different. Trying to find a website that wasn't made by monkeys.
You'll actually find Australia is pretty low on the amount the Government takes in the global scheme of things.

This is pretty up to date, too. Looks like it's all the same. I wasn't so sure it was that closely linked to just Singapore. But anyway.
