Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Actually, saw the ad online yesterday, emailed the guy, he sent through a few pics this morning, saw it at lunch time, and got the money out of the bank now.
So substantially less than 41 years. Lol!

Yo Shaz, normally how long does it take to approve a home loan? We have come across a house we like. We looking at it tomorrow again. I might want to chuck an offer at it.

Cool Simo. Have you checked out using online calculators, how much your borrowing power is, and if the house falls within the price range and not right on the edge?

Yeah for sure Zaccy. Within our budget.
Funny thing is the bank said (notshazbank) we are pre-approved for pre-approval. I lol'd.

Funny bank. Lol!
Nah, online calculators do that, so all good.
One of the hardest things to do is find the actual house you really want to buy. I know people who just settle, because they didn't have too many choices

Haha yeah, pretty standard line. But is worth a giggle.

What is a pre-approval? I don't know a great deal about home loans.. is that basically them saying you can borrow upto X dollars so you can search for a house and be relatively sure you can make an offer and get finance for it providing the house is priced reasonable etc?
Correct. It means you have the money ready to pull the trigger on a house if & when a good one comes along.

Preapprovals are not worth the paper they are written on.
Its basically saying, Yes we might approve you, but here is a bit of paper to make sure you stay with us.
But, a full approval is generally around 5 days once you've made an offer. I might be bale to sort it out quicker for you though.
Pre Approval = Based on the information you've given us, we're happy to initially approve you subject to what you are telling us actually being true + more information we need.
Seeing banks/mortgage broker tomorrow.
Also Simon, I will beat whatever rates / deals you get elsewhere if you want mate.
