That would be about $646.27 after you take out Super and Tax Haz :S Sounds a bit shit!

I was having a good think about it on the drive home and I'm starting to come to those conclusions.

Well, he can put as much as he wants into Super, and that reduces his taxable income, but yeah, also reduces his income. Lol!

Are you calculating his tax at 30%, which is what he will be taxed as if he uses an ABN?

Ha, ok then, all good.

The last time I checked, people with an ABN were charged tax at 30%, regardless of how much they earned, but I could be wrong.

Yeah it doesn't work out well for you Haz, it seem. Maybe keep this job in your backpocket and see what else is out there

Yeah true though $800 a week after tax wouldn't be great let alone before tax, so regardless of what rate it is a bit shitty, you would really want to hope you could smash it out on commissions.

They pay you $800 a week base wage before commissions. But you need your own ABN and with that $800 you have to pay your own tax & super out of it. Plus I will have to keep reciepts for everything so I can get accountant to do my tax and shit.

So much effort unless the commission is insane as Josh mentioned.

Company tax is 30% regardless of earnings.

ABN = sole trader tax

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts, right off.
