Yeah those were the only options. You can't forget the horrible name change from ST to XR5 :(

The only reason we got the RS was because Ford of Ireland couldn't afford them.

Deadset?

I thought it was very rude they tried to flog them for $60k here, where you could buy one for $25k pounds in the UK, (roughly $45k here). I guess they knew people would be making it rain no matter the price for one of 315 RS's.

In saying that, they are pretty resonable on carsales now, compared to $60k new, cheapest on carsales now is $40k so thats about 66% resale vale. Not too bad.

XR5's are bargain basement now, LV's for well under $20k and LS/LT's as low as ~$15k! Apparently they are P-Plate legal now too!

Exhaust sounds good.

Sounds like the clutch is having a hard time and it may have a small boost leak. It may just be my ears though.

Cheers. I do love the sound of it.

The whistle is from the intake, my brothers car makes the same noise at full boost.

It has traction issues in 1st and 2nd and it's just wheel spinning. Good pick ups though man.

A few little updates. I changed projector shrouds, changed exhaust tips and installed RSR adjustable rear camber arms.

The next stage of mods is about to begin:

RS injectors

K06 hybrid turbo

RS oil cooler

It's going to be a hand full :)

Bought the final piece of the puzzle today, a Elevate inlet manifold to replace the stock plastic one.

By this time next week I should have 230kw's at the wheels :D

Yours looked good! I almost bought a silver LV before this one.

A lot of people laugh at them because they are FWD but once they drive one they soon change their mind. I haven't met anyone yet who doesn't love the sound of it, especially the big back fires  :)

Last of my parts finally arrived today :D I have a few days off over new years so hopefully I'll get some time to install them.

I have sold the bigger turbo and injectors because the plan for this car has changed for now.

The RS oil cooler will still be fitted at the next service and I hope to get it out on the track quite a bit this year.

They are only small things but I have painted the intake satin back and fitted a RS ECU enclosure to try and get the engine bay looking as stock as possible.

Figured I might update this as I haven't in a while.

I decided to get some new wheels for daily duties. Going to get some good semi slicks for the stock rims to use on track days and hill climbs.

I'm not loving the satin black so they will be powder coated gloss black very soon.
