Cheers lads. There's so much more I want to do but that's the nature of a project I guess. It's been nice to have something that actually does need stuff done to it lol

It's progressing nicely mate.

Probably best you double check any bolt Morgan has torqued, because boney girl arms.

Haha. It's always good to work on stuff with mates. Two set of hands to check everything is torqued up is never a bad thing.

No wheels have fallen off yet haha

Cluster is D-E and yes, the fuel gauge ring does flash with low fuel level.

I've had my car over 5 years, and I've never seen or known about this feature. I think I always fill up at 1/4.

Haha. Yeah I rarely see it. It has to be really low for the light to come on. My GTI used to come on at 1/4 tank lol.

Yeah I've been slack updating this thread (not much time after the work commute, family stuff and weekend tinkering) but it's been going great! It's been a reliable daily for the past year.
Still running the TD04 but there may be an upgrade soon if funds permit.

Edit: haha Rob, you know it!

Awesome build thread - just read it start to finish between other things!

I'd love to do something like this... Dunno what Mrs El Freddo would say about that and I'm not willing to test it out!

I'd also love it if she was driving a daily like this :D

Cheers

Cheers mate.

My wife was dailying this for about 8 months last year but I've since sold my commuter car and got her something bigger to haul the kids around. She loved driving it but she was always worried she'd miss a weird noise or something and blow it up lol (not that it ever let her down)

Not my mate

This thread could really use an update but the car hasn’t really changed; apart from putting around 80,000kms on it since the conversion! It’s been rock solid and a fantastic all-round family hauler.

I’m actually getting ready to sell soon. My wife’s about to have another baby and so we need something bigger.

My wifes about to have another baby and so we need something bigger.

Not bigger, just two of! :D ;) ;)

Were in the same boat but Ive got two Subarus and Mrs El Freddo has the new to us NP Pajero. That thing goes ace and will fit in with the off-roading scene in our family ;)

Cheers
