In Vic the pursuit is monitored and controlled by a senior officer and he decides when the risk is high enough to cancell the chase.
Same over here. I just wonder how 'trigger happy' some cops are to push the boundaries. I have vivid recollections of being sped up behind on a rural road at about 2am, my mate at the wheel of his sure-bro-charged VL. High beams ensued and a bit of honking, not one to shy away from a debate over top speeds, my mate planted it and we were clocking high numbers for a few K's, then as we came towards a dog leg, mate didn't indicate to turn left, the red and blues started flashing.
If they had have just pulled us over when they sped up behind, could have dodged about eight charges of reckless etc,
