You would be surprised at the wages, mate.

Plus you are more employable afterwards. The job market (down here anyway) is flooded with people looking for trades.

Sucks to hear Haz. Stick in there man. After Friday I'll be in the same boat...

No shame in asking either mate! If you don't get told what you're doing wrong, there is no way you can improve.

What if you don't get given that information? How should you approach things in order to know where to improve?

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.

Just ask them straight up. No sugar coating, no dancing around, just ask them.

"Thanks for the opportunity, and it is a shame that I didn't get the job, but could you give me some specific feedback why I didn't get it, so I can improve in the future?"

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Thats pretty much what I said.

I said I wanted to get something positive out of this so I can improve for future positions I apply for.

I don't know. I was told once I finish the certificate it will go up to a regular wage.

For what it's worth, when I did my apprenticeship, the mature aged guys were on $21 an hour.

You just have to find the right employer.

Make enquiries with group training companies. That $21 was the starting wage. I was able to negotiate to about $27/hr by the time I hit 4th year. :)

Wow, when I got out of uni, I was only on $25 an hour in my first job for 6 months, then it went up quite a bit.

Uni was such a waste of time.

Good to know I say the right thing. Although a lot of government jobs don't provide a contact number so I can only email them. Say the same thing via email?
