Afternoon all.

So a few hours ago I get a call from my training guys explaining that today was my last day of the traineeship. I am now unemployed until further notice and the head of the surveying department has told me not to bother coming in as they won't pay you. They are working to get me in as a casual for the time being and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for them to offer me a job in the surveying department, which could lead onto a surveying traineeship which I am likely to take I reckon.

Unemployment sucks.

So now I've got tomorrow free... And any other day until further notice. I just have to meet up with the training chick tomorrow for a meeting some time in the afternoon.

Hi Gaz!

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

Thanks guys. Hopefully all goes well.

Hi Sam.

Shit go Gaz.

Off to centrelink then.

Nah, screw that. I'll only go there as a last option.

What overseas travel card should I use??

I found that the Commonwealth Bank Travel Money Card [https://www.commbank...money-card.html] was the best option for me when I went to Thailand. I had no issues setting it up and whatever rates/charges were the cheapest at the time.

I knew it was this week, but I didn't know it was TODAY. I was doing a traineeship and the Sutherland Shire Council was my place of work. I have been in the surveying department since February and absolutely love it, so much so that I am prepared to do another traineeship within that area so long as I am employed 100% by the council themselves.

They people that pay me, which are the training organisation, are the ones that can't do simple administerial tasks correctly. They're forked. I'm just hoping that my boss there can help me out with becoming a casual, and possibly be offered a traineeship in surveying. It's a top job that also includes computer-aided drafting and touches on a variety of other areas.
