Funtastic. I was on the water in between drinks, but still definitely over cooked it. From all reports I was on my best behaviour, pretty happy about that. No sexy time really, except for the weird thing I already mentioned.

Always a worry, Pete, I won't shy away from that - but I stupidly made a point of letting a few close people know I was trying to be a choir boy. While I know keeping 'a lid on things' is more than just not getting blind, I seem to need people to know I'm trying. Personal flaw #346.

Sitting next to national radio/tv people was a TRIP though. And the table that didn't want me to sit with them (might embarrass their company...!) got into a near on fist fight before the third course!!!!!! So I think I came up smelling of roses.
