Hi Donald,
Can you describe your engine build?
VF36 37 (Corrected by matt)is a ball bearing version / twin scroll version of a VF34 with titanium shaft that gives a even quicker spool and a tiny tiny bit more top end. At the end of the day the peak performance you will get from this turbo on a 2.0L will be from 200-220kw @ 18 psi / 7K rpm with Sti pink tops. It depends on what you want you want and how strong your block is. The turbo itself will start to get too hot beyond 18psi at 7k rpm.
Cheers,
Will

The vf37 is a journal bearing turbo...and is not titanium shafted....the vf36 is the ball bearing version of the vf37...found on the spec c.....its rumoured to have a titanium shaft..but this is bullcrap as ive seen the split by Michael South and it aint titanium (he runs one on his rally car)
I had a vf37 on my v8 sti engine before i moved over to a much funner single scroll...it made about 200kwatw @ 20psi with sti pinks on the 207....great turbo that makes ya feel like youre driving a fast na car more than a turbo car and it makes peak power a bit above 6k....doesn't do a whole lot after that so loved being short shifted

But the 37 aint bad in any way...just slightly less spool due to journal bearing... if youre already single scroll a vf35 or my choice a vf34 and pinks will keep you happy

My built 2.0l block runs about the same peak power 213.5kw @ 6500 rpm, 552nm torque and a vf 34 @ 18 psi running out of juice with B4 heads. the actual power number will vary based off the efficiency of your heads, headers dump etc basically the better your engine breathes and retains the heat and consistency the better it'll run.
With the actual costs of those turbos however i'd look at blouch units that are rated with higher airflow, greater response ranges.

Yep...it will be epicDat spool....
Id put a bigger turbo on..but everythings there (turbo, injectors etc etc) for this setup so I may aswell put it together and have some fun...and 230atw was fun in the gen3...in a stripped gen1 .....shits gonna be crazy
Killer b headers too...so back to the awesome sound of el headers...with one lumpy ass idle lol

I was told the usual story when I bought my car about it being rebuilt re honed skimmed with uprated internals nm but no proof so I'm guessing stock internals. I'm just looking at achieving 350hp which is why I was thinking vf35 as on my blob eye sti I was running standard turbo I think still with pinks a walbro fuel pump good panel filter and a hks turbo back and with the live map I got 350hp
350hp at the wheels with a vf35?

They will make much like the 34 with the right supporting mods..so about 210 to 220ish on pump and 230-235 on e85...after that they run out of puff

It's say you have a really hot turbo trying to spin faster and to get 350hp you'd be running somewhere in the ballpark of 23-25psi, far beyond what the factory efficiency band is supposed to be. You'd be on the FAAAARRRR right of the curve.
