Hey guys,
Over the past couple of days, started getting a whirring noise coming from the diff. Dropped the plug today and found a rather large amount of tiny little destroyed springs and metal shavings.
Now, I'm aware that my diff is definitely 
'd, but my main question is as to whether anyone knows what ratio came in the Dec 97 build Gen2 manual 2.2s, as I can only find info on the 2.5s or Autos.
Is it a 3.9 R160 as I'm thinking or is there a possibility that it could be a different type (as Subaru was in a model transition phase at this point!)
Could anyone help me out with information, or point me in the direction of where to get a new diff (preferably today!).
