Mate have a read of the below link. I got a half decent set and because subaru used a ratchet gun they strip the inside of brand new lug nuts. Long story short I made Subaru pay for these http://www.amazon.co..._sim_sbs_auto_2. But when I tried to take my previous ones off two of them where stripped completely and I had to do the dodgy and smash a shifter piece over the top of the lug nut to remove them.

Moral of the story……buy a good set first time

Hopefully they are just using the body to test the engine because that is one ugly ass car, look at the pics of it side by side with the current wrx, it just doesn’t compare. If they bring out that wrx and a turbo BRZ I wonder what car everyone will choose……..

Thanks for the advice everyone i really appreciated it, I ended up going with these badboys…..
http://www.amazon.co..._sim_sbs_auto_2 so hoepfully this situation will never happen again

I work at a car dealership, it has really opened my eyes.

at the end of the day they are only mechanics.. theres always going to be a few bozos!
If they are replacing them then happy days!

Yeah it is happy days they are getting replaced but it still gets me cut that this happened in the first place and makes me wonder what else happens to my car while they have it, not to mention that someone either in service or from the paint department scratched the inside widow frame of my passenger door and simply tried to cover it up with a paint brush stroke and no one has taken ownership of it.

I can't help with advice, but you may get more responses if you aren't so lazy and just copy and paste the whole post into here.

Advice noted....haha yeah probably would have been the way to go form the start.

Hi all,

So when I purchased my rims approx. 2 years ago they came with galvanised lug nuts, and over time the inside of them got worn out and whenever it rained rust will run out of them. So I purchased these;

I put them on my car last Monday, everything was fine until I got my car back from Subaru service centre yesterday and all lug nuts were bashed and chipped.

Subaru have agreed to replace the lug nuts and my question is do I just purchase the same ones or are there other ones I should get instead.

Cheers,

Chris

Hi,

They probably used an impact wrench to get the lugs off and on. I have the same lug nuts and when I used an impact wrench they looked the same as yours do now. Should ask them to only use a socket wrench.

Yeah I most definitely will do from now on, thanks.
