Wowsers Alex, close forkin call.

Given the close calls I have with cars every forking day in this God forsaken city, I could only imagine risk of death quadrupling on a motorbike. Massive campaigns here at the moment about watching for bikes, due to the lane filtering laws, but they didn't mention scooters, so they're still fair game.

@Simon, the other day I saw a lady not see a forken truck in the other lane, what hope do motorcyclists have with kamikaze drivers around like that.

I go by the T.E.D principal. Time Exposed to Danger.

I never ride next to cars, i'll always go slower or (usually) faster than all traffic to get out in the clear. I lane split to the front to get away from traffic asap. You learn to watch for signs of bad drivers (and on their phones/not paying attention) and for cars that are about to pull out on you.

Honestly, the loud exhaust helps a lot. Cubts know i'm next to them now whether they like it or not :)

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Except the exhaust noises come from the bike, not your mouth.

Otherwise yes.

I hear ya. An old bat didn't see me this morning on my way to work, in my work ute. WTF is an old bat doing up at 5:30am anyways. Silly biatch. Crazy.

Yerp.

Motorbikes = too danger.

Worst thing about them is you could be the best forken rider around, but you're still at the mercy of some fuckknuckle in a taxi.

Country riding or track days would suit me fine, I'm too lady to ride a bike in the city, unless it's my fixie #Hipster

Sweet, looks like I'm heading to the beach in a little bit for a coffee, forken work, LOL, more like.......schmork?

I wouldn't want to ride in the city - out in open areas and open roads is nice though :D

Becketts/Thunderbolts Way, goes from Newy to Armidale, redonkulous fun for cars and bikes alike, more for bike though.
