Been a busy Christmas break. Car stuff.. installed the dash cam dad gave me. Not my thing but w/e its there now. Made a loom behind the cigarette lighter to give me some hidden ports under the dash.

 

Took a look at my boot garnish. The entire thing has kinda.. come out of its seal. It's sitting uneven and wont go back, but not noticeable from behind the car. Decided it's forked, will just source a better one when I can be bothered.

 

Interval service. Mildly interesting airflow pattern on my 10000k old air filter. Car drives so much nicer. Was tempted to do the pollen filter too, they wanted $69 for it and didn't have it in stock, could have had it by Monday though.

What dash cam did you get? I've been looking into getting one, so getting ideas.

What dash cam did you get? I've been looking into getting one, so getting ideas.

 

Navman MiVue530, its a bit big for my liking, but up behind the rear view mirror you kinda forget its there.

Well I'm all done changing the clutch on my mates B4.

 

Went quite smoothly really & once the clutch was bled properly.... the whole set up works fantastically!

Solid as a rock.

 

I made a point of letting my mate know that I was 100% happy with the work I performed & I'm confident it is all spot on.  Job done!

I told him that he needs to take it easy & bed the clutch in properly. Going into great detail on how to do it.

 

The last thing we did was take the car for a spin around the block.  This was not a good experience.  During the test run my mate flogged the crap out of the car, slamming it into gears and doing hard changes.  

I told him no less than 4 times to just take it easy!  

 

Eventually I snapped and upped him big time.  Seems that even though he was told to bed in the new clutch and take it easy until this was done,  it slipped his mind... he thought that when I was saying "Just take it easy" I actually meant don't speed.

 

What a fucking joke.

 

Never again!

Yeah, Brendan.

He needs to calm the fuck down or it will end in tears.  

 

Also, if anything happens in relation to the new clutch.... his driving will be the cause of that.
