I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Hi Shaz. Where have you been mate?

Hey Gaz,

Been around mate.

Pretty sure I'm going to bin working for the bank soon, so over dealing with cubts every single day, working stupid hours, literally doing nothing but work. I've told my boss that I'm looking elsewhere already, just gotta find something worth doing.

I think I'm going to kick off my tinting business again soon, and been exploring the hydrodipping market a bit, might give that a crack.

Really? I didn't expect to hear that man but I guess it'll be good to mix in a different industry. Have you got anything in mind yet or is the idea still pretty fresh?

If that's the case, count me in! I still haven't got my tinting done. Money is tight at the moment so anything to do with my car is low on the priority list unfortunately. Still haven't heard much from the banks in regards to my applications but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.

Hydrodipping would be freaking awesome. The designs look very well done as a finished product. Is it too expensive to kick off? Is the technology available in Australia?

Yeah, I think I'm just over working for someone else mate. Cuthroat industry, constant dramas, always high stress levels, and I think the thing that gets to me most is I am dealing with people who just have so much money, and when speaking to them, their story is always the same; I took a risk, and it paid off. So maybe time to take that risk. Fuck it, whats the worst that can happen, right?

Yeah, the hydrodipping market is pretty non-existant at the moment in Aus. Theres a few smaller places that do them, but no where on the Northern Beaches. Setup costs don't look THAT high, maybe 5-10k for equipment, I've got a big ass garage at home that I can convert to a workshop, so might as well make use of the space. The thing is, alot of people associate hydro dipping with car parts specifically, but if you look outside the automotive industry, there is a huge market for it.

Yeah there is definitely a few smalls places, hydrographics aus, just dip it, aus dipkits, etc, but they all seem fairly focused on DIY kits, and automotive based.

Definitely no one in my immediate area offering this service. The thing about people from the northern beaches as well, is that they don't want to leave the northern beaches, so that works well for a new start up offering a unique product. But will have to test the market, see what the deal is.

I can sort of relate to you dealing with shit customers. I used to deal with quite a few in retail. They're a different type of customer, but the bullshit is technically the same.

That's pretty cool then man. Having the space to set up something like that would be cool. And it'd be a mad learning curve too. If it's the road you do go down, I wish you the best of luck man.

I'm going to order a bucketload of tint in the next week or 2 regardless mate, so if you need your wagon done, just let me know. You wanted 20% IIRC?
