Good afternoon. Council Christmas party was pretty epic but I don't think I'll go next year. Between the two, the bank's End of Year function shits on it. I just get a different vibe and am not really as into it as I am with the bank.
It was really good to catch up with everyone. They miss me and want me to go back. Not interested.

There were only two of us mainly because the evening is organised by the survey department's manager (who was my boss). I got asked to come along by him and the 2iC. Getting out of council was the best thing I could've done professionally.

We had ours (the place I resigned from) last night too. There were just as many ex-staff as current, hardly surprising after a restructure.
We also come up with bullshit awards, such as 'best time management' awarded to the bloke who does nothing but claims he is busy, 'best dummy spit' and 'best handball' are also favorites. Good night with many laughs.

They used to do that every so often as well Jase. I had a good time with the catch ups, but the going out afterwards was just a waste of time. I ended up getting home at 4:30 am this morning and wonder now why I even bothered staying out past midnight.
