That warranty isn't worth toilet paper.

Quoted for troofs.

I used to refuse these too.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Shiv,
Forgive me if you already know this...

Trust me I didn't know that :P Your quite the fountain of knowledge! Absolutely terrifc - thanks for that explanation.

The groaning/whining sound does not occur in this case. It happened on my RX back in December and was a costly fix. Sounded like a beached whale. The Outback just seizes up under load when parking and sometimes worsens if you apply the brakes. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. It worsens if you use lots of lock.

I'm going to memorise what you have given me and woo the dealer with my in-depth knowledge of power steering pumps :D

I think its typical of a dealer to prolong the warranty claiming process to make it as excruciating and as inconvienient as possible so as to make the person give up.

Wa?????

Yeh when reverse parking for example. Your on and off the brakes and whilst using the steering lock, the power steering just fails and its like steering a truck. It could just be coincidental that it happens at the same time I'm using lots of lock. Not necessarily a separate issue. I'll let them sort it out...

Any noises when the steering gets heavy?

Shuddering?

Its a Kenwood with a full 7" touch screen. All the bells and whistles minus the NAV. Should be sweet!

Got a link/specs?? Is this easy to do yourself, or worth paying some professional to install?? (Don't understand the single/double DIN thing)....

The double din that i installed then uninstalled as soon as possible was piss easy to install. Just got to match up the right wires.
If you have the GPS/TV option it gets complex with finding a location for aerials etc and sometime with bluetooth you will need to wire the microphone up the A pillar but thats easy.
These guys know what they're doing...

Hmmm dealerships - my very biased opinion is they all fail and use Arvid rate apprentices and goat herders who can't get a real job.

Haha alex I like how you grouped Justin beaver hater with

I am so lucky that one of the top Subaru workshops in Perth is owned by a bloke who does mobile servicing out here in the sticks! Bloke is a legend, and I would only go to the stealer for floormats at best.

I'm lucky that i have S&J close who probably have the highest reputation for STi and Evos out of anyone in the country.

You can tell just by their carpark that they're good:

Always packed full of amazing STi's and Evo 10's.

I wouldn't ever go anywhere else, i have had my clutch, gearbox and a few other things changed there.
and when i inevitably blow my engine i will get that change there too.
