How'd you rate the beers there, Nik? It wasn't to my taste but it was something different. I remember one beer I had almost tasted like white wine, which was a bit weird. I'm more of a Lowenbrau (loo van brooooo ) kinda guy....just when the chicks aren't chundering in front of it obviously, haha.....

Haha, when you've been on the run for as long as I have you know how to make yourself look different very easily.

Redoak beers were pretty good. The IPA was very much to my taste, a LOT of hops and a low carbonation dancing with a decent 6.5%ABV - very good show. The wheat beers at 4PINES were superior though. It was interesting at Redoak, there was a staff orientation going on at the next table (she was talking to them like they were 8 year old children wanting to learn about beer - but oh well) she was banging on about how Redoak is so special because they don't specialise in a style of beer, rather they make ten different styles. I thought focussing on a few less styles might be an idea for them... Also you can't take beer away from there! They have a St Nicholas (who was a patron saint of Beer and Brewing if you didn't know) which sounds amazing, but it's 10% and I just wanted to take the bottle home and enjoy it at another time. Can't be done. Sucks. Might have to swing passed and try it today.

And find another one of those Mexican joints.
