I've had the cat poo beans before - one of the only coffees I've ever drunk. Along with a Hawaii blend that was $2500/kg. Had to try one of those.

Coffee just tastes like burnt sticks to me.

After going thru 3 sunbeams (2 models),

3 of these (in 8mths)


this Delonghi was the best of the bunch, was still going after 6 mths but couldn't make 2 double shots one after the other, gave it to my brother.

Everyone of those I never was completely happy with, all were a PITA to get a good cuppa from.

We decided that it was cheaper/easier to fork out the $800 bucks for a good one and TBH don't regret it one bit. As the fella in that last thread said, 95% of my coffee now are awesome, better than most cafes. The other 5% is my fault.

Sugar in real coffee?? yuk!... save that for the nescafe, 2 big teaspoons of coffee 3 of sugar, 1/2 fill with milk top with hot water, mix, skull, shits great when you need to get stuff done.

Have you taken your "super-frother" thingy off yet? so it's just a single hole.... Get betta (finer) froth that way.

Lol, I used to take that off, drill out the bottom of the basket (the "dual layer crema" thingy with the single tiny hole) to 3mm. Was the only way I could get em to work properly.

Yes, I do realise how crazy I sound. The lengths I'll go to for a good coffee is pretty astounding really.
