If you cut/make something to long/big, you can re-cut/plane/sand it to size.
If you cut/make something to short/small, it's fucked.

you will be happy to know that the part I have put together thus far is sturdy and doesnt appear to have any major gaps - only made a few minor mistakes that I have since rectified.

Still cut it couple mill too long if it's important... it's too easy to cut the wrong side of the your mark, or your mark to be slightly off because the pencil doesn't sit right up hard against the ruler, or the saw blade bends a frag. If your making a outdoor log table obviously your not gonna worry bout it.MEASURE TWICE CUT ONCE YOU SPAZ.
