We did actually look at doing some farming once - breeding goats. It's a massive export market. But after sitting down and doing the maths I worked out that after all expenses we could only produce enough kids to generate approx. $5000 profit p.a. Not nearly worth the time involved.

Farmers with a conscience now PREFER to send their livestock overseas to be slaughtered because of the atrocious state of play the supermarkets have created here in Australia. Thats so retarded too.When I was doing the research it was always pointed out that any stress at all on the animals will cause the meat to turn tough after slaughter. Tough meat is worth alot less money so cruelty aside it makes no sense at all to treat them that way.
