Korean quality has gotten a hell of a lot better, if you take the new Hyundai's for example, they don't actually look bad and they are meant to be well built. (and not slapped together by red-necks with mullets north of Adelaide)

It has got better bro! though only on a select few cars - majority of Korean built cars are still worse in quality in comparison to the aussie built stuff.

i30's are pretty good, the cruze is good.

Difference in the 'Cruze' is that it is a GM global project. You can tell because the handbrake is where it should be for a LHD model. So they've put a shit load of eggs in this basket which has brought the option price down. To get leather, head up display unit, electric seats, reverse park sensors (Which Lish really wants) and ipod connect/flash drive stuff in another car (not including Kia though) you'd be looking at $35+++
