Serious question, does Alisha need this in her life?
?
RE:Mini - these things are going for low 20's in the Chilli edition which as I'm told is a fairly good package? Anyone have any experience with the interior (ALLIGATOR) on these cars? Alisha is very much into the interior being pimped out. Which I can fully understand.
Yes! Mini is a great car and yes, the Chilli is a great package.
Dad just sold his MY04 Cooper S for a measley $12k. It had 99,000 kms on it and most people who buy them go from their Bondi apartment to the local cafe so have no kms...
He already bought the WRX so was keen just to get rid of it.
But seriously the Mini is an awesome car. Just be careful of one thing. The dealers are telling buyers that the car tells you when it needs a service. Not a good idea. In the 99,000km that dad drove, he only got it serviced 3-4 times and it wasnt really up to scratch when he sold it. (Some NRMA bastard told him it needed $7k worth of repairs!!!!)
Just make sure it's got decent service history and she'll have a ball.
The Cooper S susp is fairly hard and can get annoying sometimes but you get used to it. Get the turbo one too. The old ones (MY02-04 maybe??) had a supercharger and performance was dramatically increased with the tarbot

One thing to know about private sellers Morgan - they almost religiously over-price their cars, everyone thinks their car is worth a million dollars.Incredibly over priced.

Also, thankyou Morg-anus. I will keep all up to date. She doesn't really want a hatchback because we are concerned for safety - how are they on safety, and how are they on repairs? Do they need to be serviced by BMW?

Nothing NEEDS to be serviced by BMW.. any mechanic with a decent set of tools can do it, My Dad has all the equipment to do it.My laptop sounds like a fucking helicopter.
