FUCKIDYFUCKINGMOTHERFUCKINGCUNTFUCK

Damn fucking 10 year old fucking brittle plastic! FUCK.

While I was at it today, I was going to tighten up the air-conditioning belt because it's been squeaking for a while now.

It was getting tighter,

tighter

tigher

feels about right now

I'll give it one more turn for good measure.

*Snap*

*Fuck fuck fuck cry fuck*

How much are these things worth?

Can you buy generic ones from supercheap etc?

What a little wanker, why didn't they make it out of metal??? I would have been happier snapping the belt.
Probably serves me right for not having a torque wrench...

You seem a little annoyed by this Tom?

Apart from what Alex suggested you may have done, it also looks as if you kept adjusting after the idler ran out of adjustment.
I just looked at the RX and it has a plastic one also, so I'll be sure to learn from your mistake. :P

I hope you're yanking the chain with regards to your method of flushing the coolant.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

That is quite irritating, mine is currently snapped also. Gave my younger bro one job to help out when I was pulling the motor the other week and that was remove the belts. He broke it. I was annoyed

I generally stick a hose into one of the hoses to the heater core and flush it for a few minutes after it runs clear, reconnect and fill with water and bottle of the radiator flush shit, run the engine for about half hour or so, drain and flush with clean water once more.

refill with coolant, run engine - keep an eye on temp, check the thermo fans come on. sit.. once cool check the coolant level and top up if neccessary. also check the overflow bottle for correct level.

Also Walts, do not admit to pouring old coolant into a drain, its illegal to pour it, just like used engine oil.

You sound like my uncle.

Has aircon, but won't use it.

Renovated his kitchen (15 years ago, mind you) but has yet to use it, forcing his wife to cook on an old stove converted to LPG in the back patio.

If anyone of authority is reading this, I was joking before. I actually disposed of it in the proper way.

Thanks for doing the right thing.
