Your face looks like water near a bridge, so does your car.

my car should be in water near a bridge.

just got back from a successful fishing mission. got 3 decent flat heads. bit late to cook now unfortunately. settled for a fillet-o-fish. lame substitute.

is everyone getting along tonight?

Wikid, I will have to come fishing with you one weekend man. How big? you have cleaned them now yeah? remembering you can't leave the fish uncleaned over-night.

I would be keen hey! spent a lot of time a youngster with mums parents fishing for flathead/bream/whiting/blackfish.

Used to love it out on Smokey beach back up home when you would put 5 hooks onto the end of the line spaced about 5cm apart, long shank hooks with worm on them. on a good day you would get 2 - 3 Whiting each cast if you kept tension on the line each cast.

You would drive along the beach and find the gutters (where you could see deep water in close then a shallow sand bank out further) and cast off just onto the sandbank and then bring the line in slowly, if you kept the slack off you could usually get a whiting :D, also this had to be towards the end of the tide, usually towards the end of low before the hour of ebb.

35-40 are ok :D not very big but good for small flatties :P Biggest I ever got was 70cm, nan and pop used to catch them up over a metre long, but the thing was it wasn't just the length of those fuckers, ist die width too, they get solid as shit. once they get that big though they are generally breeding females so we let them go to spawn more young :D.
