Morning gents.

How are we today?

Got a lift to work in my mates 260RS Stagea this morning. Goes alright. Not as fast as what i originally thought it would be though, even though it does have Rb26 powers!

I reckon my car will give him a good run for his money.
And the fact his car looks like a volvo doesn't help either.

Yeah, they are basically a GTR Wagon. Well, the Autech 260RS is anyway.

So they have the same gearbox, diff, engine and brakes.
It has some MASSIVE brembos on it.

I told him to do the R34 GTR front end conversion, because the front looks like a dropped meat pie.

Thats the later model V35 Stagea, which comes with the 350Z V6 engine.

His is this shape (But this one has an R34 GTR front end)


This is his exact car now.

Yeah. I agree, they're super ugly, BUT i reckon the GTR front ended one looks fscking awesome.

Most of em come with RB25 which is poo in a wagon that big, but the 260RS ones, that have the RB26 are pretty awesome. Chuck some dumps, exhaust, intake and wind the boost up, and they hammer.

I'm still going to beat him in my wagon.

Went OK but not great. Like most Nissans it was well put together.

Yeah, they're a well put together unit. Solid feel. Nothing like old school though, but not bad.
He has an inlet manifold gasket leak, and the local shop has told him he will need to lift the engine out to replace it, due to the 6 throttle system on the RB26. I reckon thats a crock of ****, and there is no way he should pay $2500 to get his inlet manifold gasket replaced.
