Walts, what the **** are you doing online? If I wasn't busy I'd search what you said to me when I was in Feegee.

Also, Richo and AMS, and Lukosh. You would be proud of me. Set up an IMAP account on a new network computer.

:D

Working a synching sweet, even with our crazy server!

Hahaha

Sorry mate, I have a day off. Actually leaving tomorrow, couldn't help myself.

I actually came online because I saw the rolled Mazda on Waltsbook. Glad she's okay, Morgan. :)

Shaz, if I was in nsw I would come to you but not...

But what you think of this quote through old bosses mate, lifetime warranty, 20% tint, + remove old tint $250, what should I be looking into as far as tint quality? Brands? he has non metallic tint which only has 7yr warranty.. What is better though?

$250 to remove and replace film sounds awfully cheap Ty. I'd be making sure you find out what film he is using to retint the car in. I'd highly doubt it would be a FULL metal film for that price. (Maybe a 1/2 metal, 1/2 dye film)

Steer well clear of the non metallic stuff. It will blister, discolor and peel in no time. (And you don't want to be taking it back getting it redone every year)

See what brand he is using as well.

General rule of thumb - If it sounds to cheap to be good, it probably is.

Let me know how it goes.

In any case, exhaust is done, and drove the car home today.
Feels SOOOO good to be driving it. It's bizarre though....

It has good power till about 5000rpm.
Then it has EXCEPTIONAL power from 5-8000ish (My tacho only goes to 7, and it was bouncing off my clock in my dash) so i can only assume its around 8,8.5k.

Car is only running 6psi as well. I'm honestly gobsmacked about how well it goes on low boost.

Is this normal?

Cheers,
Shazza

We've restricted it to 6psi, coz i haven't done the fuel pump or boost controller yet. Don't want it to ping.

Was using the Subaru scanning tool while driving checking everything, and the one my mate has displays boost. It sits around 5psi, and spikes to 6psi.

Shazza

I've wondered the same thing Jordan!

My uncle is looking at an H6 Gen4 Outback at the moment. Seller is moving overseas in the weekend so while asking for $16,500 he'll probably take less. Only got 80k kms too. Seems like a good deal to me :)

Going overseas = $3k off that price, straight up.

Call him and tell him you'll pay cash, pickup asap and you'll get it.

That's shopped out, Jordan. I thought that RIG setups could be angled to eliminate the need for shopping, apparently not? You can tell if you line your eye around the top right of the carpark roof - you can see the blurred section of concrete.

Still pretty cool!?

What year? That's stupid cheap. Seriously.

New tyres on.. exceptionally happy with the way they are driving at the moment. very grippy, great in the wet and have a nice quiet ride compared to the Dunlop SP's that were on. I shall consider today a small victory for my car! haha.

04.they are crazy cheap these days

I found an 06 GT for $19k the other night. I'm defs going GT now, only way i'd buy a b4 would be if it were a member's ride...looks at AMS...

BTW guys, know anyone looking at new Japanese car? They only have what stock is already in the country due to tsunami, so you should be able to get deals on what's IN THE YARD, as they can't make sales where they take the money, then the car turns up 2months later. Dealerships NEED turnover NOW, so will reduce prices, not drastically, but you might find that sunroof or leather interior doesn't cost so much anymore.

I will bet you that a lot of them will use *supply and demand* as an excuse to be tighter than usual, people in Aus will still buy cars at the usual rate - when the supply thins out and you have a backlog of people trying to buy you tend to hold fast on the price.

It happens regularly, a car that is selling well suddenly becomes hard to get because of some issue with the supply.. dealers use it as leverage on the customer as a way to get them to pay full price or risk missing out.
