Yes, but dealerships need to still make money, so if customer comes in and says I want a red one with leather interior, and dealership can't get one, they'll try and sell the black one with leather interior, usually the dealership would've gone, 'Ok red with leather, that'l come in 2 months, you HAVE to pay this much'

Now they're forced to go "Ok this isn't what you want exactly but it's just a different colour, and all we have, we can throw in free carpet mats and tint"

I'm not speculating here buddy, this is what's happening, it's what they've been told to do. Alot of people looking at Jap cars are also looking at Euro/Korean cars that are unaffected by tsunami, so Jap dealerships need to make turnover.

Glad she's alright Morgs. Get her into a suby. AWD has saved my (and a few family members) arse(s) a few times. FWD cars are the worst, once they let go, they're gone and there's not alot you can do but hold on for the ride and hope for some grip.


Just saw this...

I agree. While the Mazda held up incredibly well, AWD would've helped her get it back on track.

Unfortunately, she's not heaps keen on most Impreza's. She wants a hatch which rules out Liberty, Foz and Outback...Gotta find a black one which appeals :P

Just saw this...

Don't worry about preventing rolling, look for the safest car in the event of a roll. An AWD will and does roll.

There are a few Peanut RV's out there at the moment.
Don't know if I can bring myself to buy one :P

I had an rs sedan for a bit Morgs, loved it, obviously a bit more worked than that example, but great cars.

I know you've got a budget, but 17" wrx 5 spokes, and lowerage will have it looking neat as, plus a tint.

Mine came with MOMO steering wheel but that one does't have it...weird.
