I'm looking at HILTI, which is a few rungs above those suggestions. Makita are hit and miss for low rpm high torque use.

I don't know anyone who uses Hilti so I will reserve judgement.

Ha ha hasn't stopped the speculation though...this is possibly the dumbest article on the internet right now.

LINK

While the PlayStation Network security breach is sending waves across the video game industry, gamers are inevitably going to worry about other gaming networks. Is your data safe anywhere? While it's probably true that nothing will ever be 100% safe from tampering, other services are undoubtedly going over their security right now in the wake of Sony's incident. If you're worrying about Xbox Live, Microsoft isn't. They're staying on schedule, in the midst of promotions, with large groups of gamers beta testing some planned system updates. We contacted Microsoft's Xbox Live team and a spokesperson told us:

“It’s business as usual with our previously planned Xbox LIVE promotions and programming. Other than that we have no comment.”

Of course, that "no comment" portion is always the most tantalizing part of the statement. We don't know if Microsoft has come under their own series of attacks, or if they are making behind the scenes changes, but you can be assured that they are paying attention to the situation.

Hey Adam, lucky you :P

Hows the Moke going? Is that thing road registered or are you still building it up?

I watched this last night:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CdOsasi79s

Shiv, that's great, thanks for sharing, that is exactly what I plan for mine to look like!! The moke project has stalled and I've devoted my time to the mini, which I hope to have done this year! I'm going for a full bare metal respray, and so far I've done bary any of it, but now I have all the tools I should be able to get it done pretty quickly!

I got a drill for my 21st off my carpenter father in law.
Exactly what brand escapes me now but it's a bright green impact drill.
Haven't had a proper chance to use it yet but I absolutely love it

Camping looks awesome, Ty.
Was just thinking this morning how long it's been since I've been myself.
Need to pack up the OUTBACK and just go methinks.

Is that that Crewman that got smashed into?

Comes in the Ninja showbag. (they have a Ninja as their mascot type thing now)

for around the house type stuff that drill will do perfectly well.

So, going by my question... I could have asked for a recommendation on the best supercar, and you could have shown me a Honda Integra DC2 - because, for around the house type stuff it will do perfectly well. However, I asked about a commercial application specific torque RPM pattern with robust longevity...

...

:D

I'm buying a HILTI.

Think you got yourself confused Nik :P I don't think he was saying you should get one of those for your application. But no I wouldn't suggest that drill for you and what you want to use it for.

We have a Hilti laser measure at work, and that's really good.

Hope this helps.

From what I have read, Hilti do some pretty amazing ****. They make big industrial **** like diamond tipped drills for mining etc.

Do you use this in stalking applications? Distance to victim etc?

Yes

and we found its probably going to be a writeoff now.. front left tyre now rubs on the chassis behind the wheel when on med-full lock? and the tray sits closer to the cabin on one side now too, pretty sure the whole chassis is twisted.

but damn it was awesome fun ripping down trees for firewood and throwing them in the back.. cant do that in the Outback lol

although it would have did the river crossing i couldn't.. damn RWD lol not even fun for skids now that the diff is buggered haha
