I was at that point too last week Morgan. Dial was well below the notch and it felt like the car was about to conk out right when I got to the bowser. But I did the same thing and put 60L in! :D
Also, fark, cheap petrol.

Today is was reasonable thank goodness. Still cost me $90 for the tank!

Last time I filled up (4 days ago...holy crap I did 616kms in 4 days!) it was $1.65/L

I once was SO low on fuel.

It was a long weekend, and the 3 servo's near me were all out of 98 RON. I took a risk driving to one to find out they had none, drove to another and discovered they had none as well. So had to go back to the one closest to me, saw no 98 went inside to ask the guy about it and walked back out of the shop. I thought "Hmm, I don't remember turning my car off". Turns out it ran out of petrol there and then, had to push it to a bowser and put in some dirty 95RON to get me to another service station ! Lucky, considering I had to cross a highway to get to that servo - would not have liked to have run out of fuel crossing two lanes !

There's always the flinstones manouvre....you yell out 'yabba dabba dooo' and try and kick the floor of your car out....

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.
