Good luck with buying and selling cars for profit, Morgan! Hope it works out for you, but I have to say it sounds crazy.

As for commitment, this is BEER we are talking about. I'm not down here squeezing lemons.

All the best ideas sound crazy at the beginning :P

My old man has done it and so has my FIL, and my uncle, and my cousin....!

It'll be alot of fun regardless :)

The old boy and I used to do it back in the day.

We used to buy lightly damaged vehicles, repair them, give them TLC, and sell them on.

Inevitably, its not terribly profitable.

As long as you're having fun.

That looks like the post nine month failed abortion to result from a drunken three way orgy between a ferrari, a lamborghini, and a chrysler neon.

I don't know if you've noticed, but cars usually depreciate. + the stamp duty and rego you pay on them. Doesn't sound like a very smart way to make money to me.

Morning lads.

I have never loved my car more than this morning.
Rainy day, empty road, red light, 8am Sunday morning.
Thought I'll give it a launch (haven't done that once since I broke my gearbox and clutch)
Got a perfect launch in 2nd turbo range, all fours where spinning and it took me about 3 seconds to move 10 meters (half sideways)

I tell you what, I'll probably never do that again, but it felt bloody awesome and got the adrenalin pumping.

P.S. Alex, all those pics made me lol.

In Adelaide you HAVE to launch it at every set of lights, the light changes there are ridiculously short. They want you to step it out.

Light changes? Short?

Perhaps you sandgropers are incredibly slow?

I mean, look at it all. You all live on the sandy equivalent of Waterworld (1995). But instead of water, you have sand.

Sorta like a post apocalyptic Northern Territory after all the coons have dried up the Methylated Spirits supplies and turned postal.

Sandyworld = WA.

like this. but no water, just sand.

Your picture doesn't work, Alex. I know we have desert regions, but if you were sitting next to me right now looking out my window you would realise how far off your sandy comment is. I think it is you who is sandy, in your vaginal area.

Also, I stand by my comment on the light changes. They were crazy short everywhere I went in Adelaide (all pretty far west). I know you guys have those one car lights, we have only a couple of those here in WA. Those pretty much force you to stomp it.

Stamp duty is a PITA.

BUT.

If you buy the car at an already below average price, how can you lose?

p.s: SSS = p00.

You no like them?
They are getting a bit dated now I'll admit, but in the few hrs that I've owned it, I've had 3 comments of, "I was looking for one of these", and, "My mate wanted one a little while ago", and, "JEALOUS. Exactly what I wanted"

They seem to be a fairly sort after car and I shouldn't have any problems selling in a few months :)

Gave her some love this morning.
Wash/wax, cut and polish, degrease engine, interior clean, etc. Bought oil and filter but will do that another time.
