What is the general consensus on Audi's? I like them but I am unsure of modding potential etc..

Anyone got any ideas..car in question is the A4 turbo...not sure what model yet.

Mate had/has one, he had major cooling issues. He was looking to sell it last time I talked to him, he only had it for 5months, could've been a bad egg, but it might just be one of those euro cars that doesn't like Aus climate.

Audi's also have abysmal resale.

Expensive servicing/tuning/parts, although I'm looking at BMW's at the moment Jesse, same basket there.

ALL that said, they can be dreams when tuned and modified properly, but may be an expensive path.

edit: his was an a4 turbo or something, 4 door saloon. 2002 model.

Thanks mate, yeah I expected the expensive servicing parts. Be more of a comfy cruiser if I get one. Just having a look on some Audi forums for potential to modify.
I went in my cousins A4 with the 3.0L 6 and it felt rather under powered and the interior was very..um cheap feeling? bland and lots of rattles..more than I was expecting from a '04 model.
