lol, let it go Alex. The bloke was having a bit of fun, not trying to be the pinnacle of driving prowess. It's far from his fault that Subaru 5speeds are second only to an Aussie 4mt in terms of utter shitness.

So, I gather you took my wise advice about getting the B4 box fixed? get them to change the clutch at the same time, just get an OEM spec one fitted.. might as well while it's all out of the car

Damn dude! Least you'll have a nice new tight box when you get it back, and you'll know the history of it. I reckon getting it rebuilt is definitely a step in the right direction :)

here guys have a laugh @ my expense... just took 11&1/2 hrs to get my struts out. f!@k up after f!@k up! Was taking em out to send away to get re-valved. started pass rear couldn't get bottom bolt undone, went to use rattle gun but air comp no work, rang bro to get air comp, decided to do fronts while waiting. took fronts out no major probs took springs off front, bro came with comp, rattle gun didn't get it so decided to put fronts back on to put on ramps, dumb @ss me thought just struts would hold it- found out they wont. pull fronts back off, put sprins back in, put struts back in, onto ramps loosen rear bolts, off ramps, had to undo r s/bar to get bolts out then got smacked in jaw by hub cos instead of droppin it jumped up for some reason (and dumb @ss me had head in wheel arch. from there on in was pretty smooth sailing but f**k me what an episode.
